Description:

Indicates the grade awarded for a course based on a standardized list of grade values.

Coding Instructions:

Each SUS institution maintains its own unique internal grading system [as reported in the GRADE_AWARDED element (#01102)] and translates their internal grades into this system-wide standard grade. Notes: (1) Exam Credits are not reported on the SIF.COURSES_TAKEN table. (2) The number of exam credits are reported on the SIF.TEST_CREDITS table, but only as an aggregate number and not as a course-level grade. (3) Course-level exam credits that yield actual college credit are reported the HTD.COURSES_TO_DEGREE (CHTD) table using this element. Exam credits on the CHTD table, can only be reported as A-F, S, or U grades. (4) Board staff analysis of HTD data can differentiate academic course grades from exam grades with the Course Grouping code (#1485). (5) Load programs on COURSES_TAKEN table on SIFP will NULL the value for this element.

'NT	NT	Non-Traditional Calendar This grade serves as a placeholder for courses with non-traditional calendars.
