This expression of Race/Ethnicity under NCES rules is not required until 201005 (Summer 2010 reporting).

SUDS will accept this expression beginning with 200905 (Summer 2009 reporting). Records submitted prior to 200905 will have a value '.'.

If the institution chooses to use this expression prior to required date then 'Y' or 'N' should be coded. When this expression is not used, code '.'.
