Page Name

The high school grade point average upon which the student's application for admission is evaluated, based on a 4.0 grading system. A maximum of 5.0 will be allowed for this element since it is possible to obtain this average with extra weights on a 4.0 scale. The GPA must be based upon the high school subject area units required by the Admission Policy. The subject areas of English, Math, Natural Science, Social Science, and Foreign Language should be included.

This element is required for all first time in college students, and all undergraduate transfer students applying to the lower division.

Code 9.99 or '.' for any student applying for undergraduate admission who cannot provide a grade point average from the previous schools or institutions attended. This may include resident and and non-resident aliens.

Code 9.80 for non-traditional grade point averages.
