The Office of Postsecondary Education Identifier (OPEID) code for the student's most recent post-secondary educational training previous to this institution.

Coding Instructions: This element should be updated only when the STU_RECENT_ADM_TYP (#01413) changes.

On the Enrollment table, this code should never be the same as the reporting institution OPEID code, unless the STU_RECENT_ADM_TYP is an `Undergraduate - non-FTIC' student.

In part, this element is used to establish FCS retention and graduation rate cohorts and reporting bachelor''s degrees by student type.
The coding structure used for this element is the Office of Postsecondary Education's Identifier (OPEID). This element is required only if Date of Most Recent Admission (01420) is more recent than September 1973.

ENROLLMENTS table of SIF, SIFP, and SIFD: This code should never be equal to the reporting institution OPEID code. For Florida Institutions not included in the table code '99999999' or '09999900' or '.'.

This element should only be updated at (1) time of original admission or (2) readmission after attending a post-secondary institution other than the reporting institution.

APPLICANTS_ADMITS table of ADM: Last Institution Code will be equal to the reporting institution, if a student applies for admission to another program at the same institution where he pursued his last degree or certificate program. For Florida institutions not included in the table, or if the institution is unknown code '99999999' or '09999900' or '.'.

Load programs for APPLICANTS_ADMITS and ENROLLMENTS tables will NULL values '99999999', '09999900', and '.'.

As of Summer 2023, the Last Institution Code (LAST_INST_CD) should report the student's high school when the Type of Student is FTIC - AA Transfer (STU_TYP = 'F'), not the Florida College System or State University System institution awarding the AA degree. However, the Institution Granting Highest Degree (INST_GRNT_HIDEG_CD) should report the institution awarding the AA degree.
