An alpha code developed by the Common Course Number System to be used to indicate laboratories and provide a method for equating laboratory courses.

Common Course Outside Indicator as defined by the Common Course Numbering System. Courses taken at other institutions and reported on the Hours to Degree File should be reported as coded by the original institution.

On WORKLOAD_ACTIVITIES table any value will be set to NULL when ACT_CODE for the record is not an instructional activity.
