  • Element: Degree Program Fraction of Degree Granted - 01083

Page Name

Portion of degree awarded in given program.

This field is usually 1.00 when a degree has been awarded. Students receiving one degree with multiple majors have the percentages allocated to each major institutionally assigned (with the fractions summing up to 1). A student receiving multiple degrees should have 1.00 coded for each degree, unless both degrees are at the same level and in the same CIP program in the same term. In these rare cases where two degrees at the same level are awarded in the same CIP code in the same term, the degree should be reported on a single row with a CIP Fraction Degree of 2.

Load programs on DEGREES_AWARDED table will NULL value when DEGREE_LEVEL_GRANT = 'K'.
